We start the LAB SERIES with a typographic experiment.
Flexo typo is a typography made of the elements of a flexo lamp. The combination betwen the pieces of it give us a flexibility ot create the flexo typeface.

LIMITED EDITION BOOK

We just received a copy of the book "Limited Edition / Prototypes, One-Offs and Design Art Furniture" featuring some One-Offs done by our studio.

The book is edited by Sophie Lovell and published by Birkhauser.

WEDDING CARD

A new graphic project of the studio is out from the oven!!
A young couple approach us, asking to design their weeding card, and this is the result....
An elegant and clean excercice using just the stamping technique.

SURTIDO DE REVOLUCION RESULTS

Surtido de Revolución workshop is in the final stage, we finish all the prototypes and we're looking for a place to exhibit.

SURTIDO DE REVOLUCION

This weekend (17-18 January 2009) will be experimenting with ceramic and its production techniques thanks to a workshop organized by Surtido and Apparatu.

CREACION INJUVE 2008 EXHIBITION

As a shortlisted in the design prize CREACION INJUVE 2008 some of the products of the studio will take part in the exhibition organized by the Spanish Goverment.

Knife!!!, Cucump3, Geo Vases "Gold Series" and a new chair called GRAPHITE CHAIR will take part in the exhibition.

The opening of the exhibition will be the 4th of December at 20h at Circulo de Bellas Artes in Madrid.

"UNA CAÑA POR FAVOR..." WORKSHOP

Diego Ramos and Luis Eslava will be teaching a workshop called "Una caña por favor..." in ESDI University.

TYVEK WORLD NEW PRODUCTS

We just return from Tokyo and we are ready to show you some photos of the instalation and the new collection of products.

We introduce a family of lamps with asymmetrical shades, a modular rug system, a set of geometric vases, spongy feelings chairs and fancy gold plated bags.

Wrinkle's beauty - Chairs made out of expanded foam and Tyvek.

Geo vases - "Gold series" - Vases made out of geometric patterns glued together with hot melt adhesive.

Tyvek is a brand of flash spun high-density polyethylene fibres, a synthetic material; the material is a very strong; it is difficult to tear but can easily be cut with scissors or any other sharp object. It’s Waterproof. Tyvek superficially resembles paper, it can be written and printed on.

We cut it, we fold it, we punch it, we sew it, we glued it, we painted it, and combined it with latex, resins and foams to create what we called the "TYVEK WORLD”

TYVEK WORLD IN TOKYO

After the success of TYVEK WORLD showcased in ARCO Madrid, we are ready for action again!!!

We'll be exhibiting at Tokyo Design week, in 100% Design in the Container Ground from the 30th of October to the 3rd of November.

TYVEK WORLD WINS DEZEEN COMPETITON

Tyvek World (a project developed by Diego Ramos and Luis Eslava) is one of the five international winners of the Container design competition.

Dezeen has teamed up with Design Association in Japan to give five designers free exhibition space in Tokyo during Tokyo Designers Week from 30 October to 3 November this year. The five winners of the competition will be given a free 20ft shipping container at the Container Ground exhibition at Jingu-Gaien in central Tokyo.

Some work featured by Diego Ramos Studio is been published in the Spanish magazine Pasajes Diseño and in the German magazine Form.

DIEGO RAMOS SELECTED IN INJUVE PRIZE

Diego Ramos is been shortlisted at the design prize Creacion Injuve.

A exhibition of the winners and the shortlisted will take part in Madrid in El circulo de Bellas Artes.

RANDOM CHAIR MOVES TO SAO PAULO

Random chair selected for the exhibition 300% Spanish Design moves to Sao Paulo.

The exhibition is promoted by SEACEX (Sociedad Estatal para la Acción Cultural Exterior) and curated by Juli Capella.

"The contents of the exhibition, 100 chairs, 100 lamps and 100 Spanish posters cleary demonstrate Spain´s enormous creative potential and how our designers and companies are in the vanguard of design"

This exhibition was first shown at the Museum of Modern Art in Saitama, Japan, in July 2005. After that the exhibition moves to Lisbon, Athens, Shangai, Pekin and Brazil.
